Telescopic = no.
Stu Mackenzie from Precision Rods does the best, stiffest outriggers on the market. After them the only step up is stayed alloy like the big game boats. You can look him up on here. I think his username is Stuart. 5.0-5.5m will be fine. They will fit in your boat for transport. You can also put some 6" PVC up the middle of your trailer with end caps to transport your riggers.
Hey Rob can i ask why telescopic = no?I too am looking in to outriggers for the up and coming season.
anthony, have a chat to stu, he,ll explain it all to you. and you can support a local
ian
You need stiff riggers. The stiffer the more crisp the realese. Soft ones are like a big rubber bands on strike and don't punch the hook home. That is why the Yanks use the stayed riggers like a yacht mast. No telescopic ones are stiff enough. Stuies are the best then Reelax a long way second and then all your other stuff like Solas, Synderglass, Killwells, Pacifics etc.
smithy is on the money mate, stuart from precision makes unreal riggers and untill u see a pair nothing we say can or will be able to explain the quality, Kinda like the rods he does aswell. Other then stuart id say reelax aswell is the next best thing i have reelax ones and there god also.

Thanks for the help guys i'll check it out.
And Ian.......theres plenty of Yocals i support......just not as often as i would like to
thanks for the info also gents - will be looking him up to see what he can do for me
I will second Stu's work, for the poles and rods.
I helped Mick True Blue set up his riggers with Precision Poles and they are great.
Reelax are good, but better if you buy longer poles than you want, and cut them down from the tip end to stiffen them up.
