Might be good to get to a beach somewhere and fill up the freezer with Tailor ready for Mackerel season. They are by far the best Spaniard bait IMO.

that may be the case off fraser, but more localised to seq live baits are on par and better in certain circumstances for these fish which see alot of boat activity.

skipalong is on the money there, the SP this side are fussy and like a live bait, to get a dead tailor to swim properly is also a challenge sometimes.
A live a tailor is also one of my favorite baits for Spaniards.
Justin I will take you up my way in Dec and we will find them...

Thanks for the info skipalong, i will be trying my luck off the coast a bit this season too. Tailor has always been the best tow bait off Fraser, it does take a bit to rig them to swim put it certainly pays off.

yes very true mate i still have a freezer full of legal tailor though, i do a fair bit of trolling off fraser too when they show up and found the tailor to be best by far there, down here off the sunny coast and brisbane they tend to be all for a live bait, though i still use tailor for them i prefer them on the overcast days and when the wind has white caps on the water, few different ways to rig them but i guess from your photos you would have lernt a bit from fishing on seans boat for the spanish.
