Fishing Gt Sandy Straights November Help needed!

Hi all
Will be holidaying in Hervey Bay in Nov, and am wondering of anyone can help with info on the Steamer channel ledge area, Little Rocky Ck. in the Straights. I want to fish more for reef species than bream and whiting etc, any info would be greatly appreciated. Any other suggestions for reefy areas up there? I will be in my 4.3m Center console. Hi flatzie, I have lived and fished Hervey Bay waters most my life but I don't know where the area you are refering to is, It must be down south toward tin can bay? I can definately help you with reef fishing around the area though. where are you launching the boat? What fish will you be targeting? There are endless options at both ends of the bay, I can PM you a few of my gps marks if you like.

Hi Flatzie, I too am unsure of where you are tlaking about. I just spent last weekend fishing for flathead on dusk in the western side of inskip point. On dusk using both plastics and bait in close to the mangrove trees and about 10m from them just drifting past and we got a large number of flathead in sizes up to 85cm. Mostly due west of the campsites around inskip. I know it isnt reefies but some fresh flathead and chips is hard to pass. Scott

Hey Sotty yes I have fished there, I have got some nice flatties in that area last year. Well done and yes they taste great! I will be much further north though.

Hey everyone i am heading to rainbow in november. Pretty keen to chase the mackerel n trevally off inskip beach. does anyone know if theyre still catching em along the flat beach ?
