    Moreton Bay Alive............................

Not a report as such, but..............

Was on the bay this morning. Terrible conditions, couldn't find a single ripple on the water or a breath of wind

Wasn't a fishing trip, was for something else. Got to the red and green at the western end of the Rous and what sticks their nose up????????????????????????????? The biggest bloody school of Longtails I've ever seen.( Looked like Longtails anyway) The water was boiling. Not a rod within 50 miles of us. They were going off crazy man. Good size fish. We motor to them and they didn't spook, they really were going off man. And not a boat near them, besides us. Harries was a parking lot at least 25 - 30 boats, Rous had heaps of boats in it, and boats just about everywhere else. Doesn't anyone have a job round here? LOL. beats working I say.

Heard a couple of reports the whiting were out that way in the Rous.

    Cheers

    Mike

Bloody wish i saw that. We hooked a huge 1 a month or so ago and it was a biggun (forgot to weigh) but it took a livey out of no were not a sound just blistering run. I would love to drop a slug into that school busting up without being spooked. Funny how no one sees these things when theres boats everwere. Cheers DD.....

had my first trip out on the bay on the weekend. Picked a good one i know. there were a few small schools in between peel and straddie. they were quite approachable but seemed to be feeding on small bait and we only had 20g raiders and they would follow but not take.

past 2 times i been out in the bay over the past 2 weeks, there have been schools of longtails and mac tuna busting up galore. 1st time in the boat, but they were really sensitive and diving quickly. friday i went out on the jetski and got within 15m of mac tuna busting up. got about 6 casts in at 1 point had a mac chase my spinner could see it about 4-5m from the ski but no takers. was using a 10g raider. bastards lol
