Did anyone head out to Rock Cod Shoal or further this weekend?

Just wondering if anyone got out to Rod Cod or maybe further over the weekend or heard what the catch was like? The weather has been fantastic (a bit smokey!) but I had other plans for the weekend so I'm thinking of going out maybe Tue/Wed. Any info on what was caught and what worked will be very much appreciated. Cheers.

Mate we did an overniter at fitzroy friday nite,dawn and dusk were good bite periods but had to work hard to get our bag.We anchored and drifted but when there was no run there was no fun.As current picked up we found they came on the chew again but when it raged it was hard going.Mostly used floater rigs with by far best bait butterflied diver whiting.Trout were taking pillies with mullet strip.
Nearly every fish we cleaned were empty, guts sucked in so get out there ,they are gunna chew hard soon.

Heading out myself tomorrow for an overnighter after weekend commitments like work. I haven't heard of many reports of fish but heaps of the great weather.
I'm just keen to get the boat out for a run, and whatever we catch will be a bonus

Thanks guys. Looks like I might head out early Wed morning just for a day trip to Rock Cod ... was hoping I could get the good oil so I can impress the missus (she's going along) and get approval for more toys

If anyone can provide more info/tips for Rock Cod that'll be great. Cheers.
