    Looking for a 90-115HP

Hope everyone has had the chance to get amongst the fish or atleast on the water over the weekend what a splendid couple of days.

Reason for the post is that i have recently sold my motor and am looking for a late model 2nd hand motor to get the boat ready for the season,

Looking for a Long Shaft 90HP up to 115hp, 2 stroke Oil Injected Prefer Merc or Yamaha and later than 2000. lower hours, reliable motor as i am looking to do some serious offshore work over coming months. I am located Gold Coast area and hoping to spend 4k or so, seen a few around that would suit but thought its worth asking anyone on Ausfish who may be upgrading to 4 stroke etc?

    thanks Oldie

hey Jarrah Jack that 115 would have been perfect the owner said it was long shaft but when he emailed me some photos it was on a haines traveller tc175 and i know they are XL shaft, motor had 400hrs but basically 1 owner, a tuna fisherman so they were doing 180km round trips weekly, shattered as it was in my budget.

They organize it all and the deal was that they paid for most of it too. I don't mind buying off a dealer cause you can get some sort of warranty through fair trading whether they like it of not. The dealer I dealt with was very honest as he gave me the number of the previous owner so I could quiz his wife about how it was used. You have to stay clear of tassie motors that have been used in some places on the West Coast where they have button grass that can be very corrosive.
