Didnt think I would have too much company this afternoon so I thought I would test my casting in this bloody wind.
Paddled upsream for ages then drifted back with the wind trolling and casting.
Put a jackall squirrel into a snag that was good last time and promptly had it stolen.
Up the leader from 4 to 6lb, tie on another $25 and try again .Another snatch and dash job . Boing. Dont have the resources to keep doing that so had a little troll with a cherry 38 for the first time.What a rattle that thing makes . 20 seconds or so and zzzzzz. that one went 47 easy on the mat.
Kept casting in that area till dark for another 5 fish. all 40 to 42cm. getting bloody cold and realised headlamp wouldnt go. paddled home in the dark ( Moon was up though), and found my way back to the car by braille.
heaps of fun as usual. Shower was terrific
