minnkota motor paint

Hi all,ive been looking after my minkota bowmount very well, but now have noticed that the paint is comming of the motor were it sits in the craddle, for something that suppost to have a good paint system its very thin ,my mates is very rusty now were it sits in the craddle and i dont want it to get like his, now has anyone repainted theres and what did you use,i was thinking 2pack polyurethane but im unsure weither it would affect the remaining paint on the motor cheers chris.

A few years ago I asked BLA what they used to tart up motors and I am sure they said that they just use Johnson white.
