MHX SB-812 blend how strong are they???

Hi all, this is a 10-17lb blank extra fast blend and a mate called me the other day and told me that one that he made for a guy rang him and said when up at watthumba he landed a 16kg kingfish on this rod and a 3500 diawa coastal reel not shaw what size line he had,he did say it was lacking a little bit, but this size kingfish on a blank like this is a good achivement for this blank i think ,ive made 3 so far for bay spinsticks, just thouhgt id share this info for those who are ooking for a good blank to build for self or customers, cheers Chris.

Chris , I have built on a number of MB 785s , the biggest fish I have landed on it was a 25 kg GT with a Gosa 3000 , I also find the blanks to be very good value , with the MB 784 and 783 if you cut 6 in off the butt they make nice Barra rods . they might not have the Rep as the top name blanks do , but they share do work well .

Hi there trout head, ive seen your pics at the mudhole i think , ive got the mb782 and yes i think the MHX blanks are good value and every one who has one that myself and my mate have built for guys realy like them too, even with the shipping cost they still are a cheap blank, my latest one is a MHX L905 LTsaltwater 7'6 15-25 1-3oz for a bit of deepwater jigging and larger sp, the blank at 4oz is still light for a rod of this size.
