Gotta love public holidays!!

It is labour day here in the USA today so I went fishing on a MONDAY!!!!


Got out on the water at sparrows and got a couple of small bass early on then it slowed for a while so I kept paddling around and throwing different stuff for little result. Still the view was good with some hot air balloons taking off.

Headed back to where I had had my earlier success, put on a sparkle tailed sumthin or other and whammo I hooked up to a nice enuff bass.



It is my young fellas B'day this week and I had promised him a bass for the barbie. Looks like it will do!

Great to see a bit of the fishing action in another part of the world. It seems to be one of those pastime's where the feeling is mutual and the goals are just simple. A fish for the plate. Done.
