well im just drained both carbs by removing the fuel bowls, got them on ok after flushing them with no fuel bowls attached. put bowls back on but now fuel is pxxxing out from a brass adjustment screw on top carby is this normal?
i presumed i have over primed and taht just the vent or similar.
PS engine is 1992 49ho merc 4 cylinder 2 carb 2 stroke
either you have some dirt holding the needle off the seat of something is holding the float down,the needle isnt sitting in the seat causing it to flood

There was a small brass thingo sitting on the fuel bowl it fell out so I but it back in but does that need to be lined up to some thing?
ok looked at manual fiel is squirting out of vent jet the bass thing i was taling about is teh baffle

Now my bowl gasket doesn't want to seal 100% I can feel the primer bulb get pressure then a extra squeeze or 2 then it starts to leak.
How much pressure does that gasket hold or with that extra pressure they all leak?
if its a cork gasket ,you will need a new one ,it shouldnt leak no matter how hard you prime ,check the gasket is in the channel and isnt pinched.
Yea it's cork justlooks like it's swollen. Are they a universal part/off the shelf at most boat jobs or a order in job?
