Starting up procedure for a 92 40hp merc?

Well I've been having troubles with my merc it's a 2 stroke 4 clinder 2 carb.

On the top of the cowling there is red stop button and pull start. But what on earth is the black primer bulb thing? Is it a primer bulb.

Also were would the choke hide?

Might find something in there
You'll probably find that is a primer bulb like in the lawnmower and you have to press it a certain number of times and have a tug on the rope but I'm sure someone will know for sure how to start one up.

Yea it's only 2 pages but I'll have a look at that site later.

My serial is 0d042033 meaning it's a USA jet 40 model I think.
