Tailor at Teewah

Just a heads up for anyone interested - there has finally been some fish turn up on Teewah Beach. Yesterday and today has had a lot of birds working over any number of mac and longtail tuna schools along with dart schools and today a few tailor schools. Managed a couple of macs yesterday morning and a dozen or so tailor this afternoon with the smallest 50cm and largest a tad over 70cm. I've been retrieving slugs through boilups between Teewah and the 3rd cut but haven't been north to see what's happening that way.

Good to hear Jus - drop in if you get the chance. You're taking the beach route then?
Haven't been getting amongst them at all though mate - was a rare session this one and everything went quiet the next day. Was some terns and gannets starting to work yesterday for the first time since and I'll have a look this morning to see what's doing. Nice westerly blowing overnight and dropping surf near a moon could trigger things.

Lindsay, we ended up taking the road on the way up and the way back.... we caught upwards of 500 for the week and mainy worked the outer gutter at waddy during the day.... fish were from 40cm - around 70cm..fun on light line.... we got into a couple of bigger fellows and had one decent tailor tak a bitee out of the rear section a 60cm one just in front of me.....

the sharks were there but as always.... let them have the odd fish and they don't bother you.....

At night was a different story.... in the front gutter at waddy the good tailor came in and there were some hookups and then the bronze whalers came in and started feeding.....so the tailor left.....

looking to head up for a weekend ....will stop in and say hello....
