    Voyager 625 Cat

Hi Guy's, this looks like a nice addition to the Voyager range and an ideal size, has anyone actually seen one in the flesh or even been in one to test ? are they doing a hardtop version and maybe even a full glass version of that ?
    i wonder why they didn't go for a full 2.5m beam ?
were they at the boatshow ? seems to get a report report by PW in F&B.

What’s going on mate, its normally you we are asking about the cats...
There web site says a fiberglass hardtop is an option. Not a bad looking boat. I think it was the F&B mag I was reading about the design and construction of this boat. It looks to be a well laid out design and a good size for towing. Wonder what it weighs.

apparently in lightship mode empty its weighs in the low 2's, so full of gear and fuel up around the 3t, now that would be an easy tow behind the Silverado Duramax !!

went and seen one which had twin 90 hondas on it.... not a bad little design honestly... Not alot of room in her but was enough.... Has a V birth up front which was a good idea. Garry did the fit up on the hondas so he may have went for a run. the price if i recall wasnt that cheap....

    Re: Voyager 625 Cat

    Hi all.
I looked at this for a bit at the boat show and spoke to the owner/designer (although he had engaged naval architects o the design also).
Advised the beam related to getting this into containers for transport. I asked if they expected to export these, and he said to, but wanted to keep options open.

The boat on display was secondhand. They were 2.1 dry on steel trailer. Had a few nice design features that appeared to make sense in hull shape.

Only 3 made so far with the first around March this year. lots of details were well thought out, and answered a few shortcomings that I think are in the KC and Markham ranges around this size. Also fills that size nicely between say 1900KC/560 Markham and 2400KC/7m Markham. The way I see it, this is abut as much cat available on the market to tow, without needing a Landcruiser, and i think is a bigger boat than the 1900/2100KC or Markham 5600.
Cabin was much better than the KC.

They did have options for a the usuals, hardtop, walk out between motors etc. ANchor wells were huge and had one of the better stress free set ups under the deck I have seen, still alowing room for two full anchor set ups on either side if you wanted.

was a nice boat..... but what I would call tpyical Aus built cat finish. He was nice enugh to give me his copy of the current F&B to read the review article, which gave rave reviews and you know how much they love the other cats in this size class in that mag.

    Cheers.

    Re: Voyager 625 Cat

without prejudice Is the Rex running the site mentionede by Greg P the same Rex who worked for Voyager in the early days at the shed at Stigglitz and who had a massive bust up with Derrick? from comments made by others earlier it was suggested that one of them has boat building background and the other has fibreglass showers, tubs and bath experience. Any one have any up to date info?

    Cheers
