    Hi
    A few years ago we a number of sets of old flares that had acumilated over the years so one night here at home after a few beers and giving the shed a clean out........what the hell
    Quite easy to do, or so it seemed....

    Let em off yourself in a safe controlled environment with fire apparatus available.Better to gain the experience on solid ground rather than at sea at times of emergency when your knees are shaking and your probably not thinking straight.
    They can be a little frightening first time,but dont worry they wont burn your hand but will give off a lot of smoke and seem to go forever,so if you werent using a pair of wet undies when you started then by the end of the first flare you will probably have a pair on hand and ready for use on the second one.
