Did they ever find that lost fisherman who sank in a tiny boat off Nudgee Beach last week?
The boat sank in chest height water. His mate walked ashore but the missing man stayed holding the boat at sea.
The last news that I saw was that they had found the boat but not the fellow who stayed out in the water holding it. I have not seen any reports since.
Does anyone know what the end result was, please?
The missing guy was located the next day, alive and well. Was only a short tidbit in the local papers the following day.

I recall that they suspended the search after nightfall and so I was hoping that he had stumbled ashore and was sleeping it off under a tree somewhere.
That is good news. The newspapers said that the boat was under 3m with two blokes in it and I recall that the conditions were not that calm at the time.
It is a bugger when the major news media only publish the bad news and not the good stuff. They do the same with various wars around the world insofar as they often don't report when the wars have ended.

I saw that bit on the news about him being ok and they showed a bit of video footage of the boat. I think I would struggle to feel safe in the boat even if I was floating round in a pool........

I think since the boat ran aground on a knee deep sand bar, he hardly had to swim for it.
As the skipper of the boat I would say he didn't want to be found.... not until he sobered up anyway
