What a lovely day on the water, it appears that the fish must have gone to the EKKA. Fished Otter rock, for one under size tailor and plenty of weed. Fished between margate and suttons beach more weed no fish. Fished Hay's inlet more weed no fish. Fished the wells one undersize flathead and one at 56 cms and still more weed. Went back out to otter roack for the turn of the tide more weed no fish. Back to the Woody Point jetty more weed no fish.
Thought that it was about time to call it quits and head home. Not sure how much longer the weed will be around, this is the third week, but it sure buggers up the fishing.
I love that weed. It breaks down, and little things eat it. Bigger things eat the little things. Pain in the ass for a while but good in the long term.
