    Raining Rainbows

    Hi All,

Don't know if you are interested cos it's on the other side of the world but here goes. A bit of fishing we did last weekend in Utah. The waterbody is called Deer Creek in Utah. It is about 3,000 acres. A stunning place to fish at around 5,400 ft elevation. Notice snow still on the mountain tops while it is middle of summer here. Ayway hope you like the report and the pics.

My 2 mates and I went out on Deer Sunday morning. Hit the water at sunrise, threw some lures around the island chasing Small Mouth bass but no luck. Could see fish on the top of the water (looked to be taking bugs but nothing we were throwing). At around 6am we said bugger it and went trolling. We started out heading to the northern end but there was alot of weed flowing into the resevior due to the snow melt and big river flows, so we let the big dog eat and hoofed it to the south eastern end of the lake. Over the next 4hrs we got 8 good bows. All around 16 - 18 inches and all fat as footballs. We got 5 on Strike King lipless crank baits (we usually target wiper a hybrid fish at Willard resvr with them) and 3 with Rapala Minnow (15ft to 20 ft diving hardbody). Troll speed around 3mph.

All fish were caught at between 15 and 25 feet. All fish were marked on the sounder so our big takeaway was if ya mark 'em you are in with a chance.

Oh and the score was Australia 5 USA 3!!! hahahahahaha

    Cheers
