Took advantage of my last mid week opportunity for a fish. Headed out for the first time to the cathedrals, two other boats around the area and some trawlers anchored up a little way out futher. We ended up with 4 keepers, range from 35 - 50 cm all snaps. Looked like the other boat close to us did ok as well. Not really on the bite and had to do a lot of drifts to get those few. Only really starting to try the open water thing, don't intend to go really big trips as I only have a 460 coastrunner. I heard that the moon phases are not in our favour at the moment, if anyone has any advice I am always keen to learn.

Glad you got a couple, sometimes it's easier to get the fish.

Buy the anglers almanac and that might help you with moon phases. Wed was a good day for moon phase.

Coastrunner were you Floatlining or bottom bashing????

We were bottom bashing with plastics, various sizes and weights. Also had an occy on that took one.
