Squid Vs. Flathead - Both lose to the fisherman!

We were out around Peel island on the weekend when an average sized flattie grabbed the bait. as he came to the surface we saw that he was being followed up by what we thought was another flattie, so i grabbed the net. upon closer look we realised this 50+ flattie was being followed by a big squid, the squid was homing in for the kill! Drop the net toss out the jig and probably saved the flatties life as the squid deviated from his attack on the flattie and mugged the squid jig. 1 minute later both flattie and squid side by side in the net - a win for the fisherman!

It looks like an arrow squid, and quite a nice size at that.
