How vital is it to run the transducer cable away from power cables? I am fitting one to a centre console that only has one cable tube from motor well to console and it has the power lead in there from battery at transom to the bus bars in the cosole.
I just read the installation instructions for my Garmin 451s and it mentions nothing about where to route the cable for the transducer.

My other boats have been done the same.........transducer cable routed with power cables and i've never had an issue,it should be fine.

Nearly all transducer cables these days are quad shielded to prevent RF noise.
Running them all together is fine.
Tip is to keep all the wiring loom neat and cable tied together.

I run my transducer cables separate from all other cables, plus I split a lenght of clear plastic tube and put the transducer cable inside that and tape it up to avoid any rubs, pinches or damages. Had problems with previous sounders getting interferences.
