BOAT really does mean Bring out Another Thousand
Should be a tidy and balanced little unit with enough punch for bay snapper.
I recently got a couple of the Stradic 4000s and put one on a texalum and 20lb braid - it works well floating pillies down a burley trail.
The better Ci4 should be real smooth.

Hey how does the Ci4 4000 go?? I really wanted to get one a couple of months earlier but they didn'y have any in stock so ended up with another shimano instead. Still really keen on getting one though.
Cheers

I havent had a chance to use it yet, that will happen this weekend hopefully

I have one of the 1000 Ci4 stradics and I can tell you that is is absolutely FANTASTIC!
I use it for bream and flathead, flicking plastics.
My pb fish on the reel, which is spooled with 4lb Diawa sensor, is a 5.4kg flathead. the reel handled it really well.
