I have just purchased a Hummibird 597 HD Ci Di. Picture in the daylight is astonishing, it is 640x640 resolution on a 5" screen. Can't say that I am that impressed with the down imaging tho, running the normal sounder side by side with the down imaging doesn't seem to be much different apart from the color. That's out on the reef tho.

Unit is pretty good overall, and much more user friendly than Lowrance, in particular, where on the Lowrance , to change screens, you need to hit the page button, then scroll thru the screens, on the Humminbird, you can have only the screens you want on the view button, and only need to hit that. menus are easier to use too, IMO. (just got rid of a Lowrance 7" color combo).
