Need o2 Sensor kit for 175 honda for a fair price

Amigos does anyone know where I can pick up an 02 sensor kit for a Honda 175 4 stroke 2002 modelfor the best price I have rung my local dealers and the price ranges from piratical to just plain expensive. About a $1000 dollars is the cheapect so far.
I replaced the 02 sensor only 2 years ago and now it has failed again. So i need the kit to fix the problem. I looked over in the states and they are a fraction of the price but i can only find one for the 220. Cheers Pueter

Thats a campaign part and generally wont show up on any aftermarket parts systems

try looking for these 2 parts which is the kit combined 35655-ZZ5-004 34750-ZY4-C01 = 06356-zy4-325

To Buy the 2 seperately would cost you $1500+

I am not having a go at Hondas because I am sure they are all the same pretty much, but like modern petrol/diesel cars engines can be bloody expensive out of warranty versus the old tech...price we pay hey for emissions and economy.

I'm afraid that if the provided link is even remotely correct, the prices being bandied about for the item in Australia would appear to have no relation to old tech V new tech.

A 10 seconds search on Spaniard Kings part number came up with this.

    http://www.lings.com/hondaparts/06356zy4325.html

241 GBP at current exchange rate is approximate $360 + postage. Take VAT off and it becomes about $300 + postage. They deliver worldwide as well! Probably have it within a week to your door.

That sort of mark-up should be unacceptable but sadly is allowed.

I'm gobsmacked, $1000 for a o2 sensor,,,WTF... How much different is the marine o2 sensor to one used in a car.... Last time I bought a o2 sensor it cost $110, Bosch, for a European built Focus.
And some members have the nerve to say Evinrude parts are expensive.

Arhhh, ok... Including the CPU, then that is a reasonable price. I am a little confussed though, why does pueter need a CPU?.. Is the CPU faulty, or does the o2 kit include a new CPU, if so why can't you buy and install a o2 sensor without touching the CPU?

Honda has changed the 02 Sensor and how the ECU controls the heating side of the actual sensor

I though companies had to supply 10 years of parts in general. A ecu should last the life of a motor. If it is a known problem of failure ( design upgrade) then Honda shouldn't be charging for the ECU if you get what I mean. Did honda do upgrades if it failed within warranty or for commercial users?
