Does anyone know what happens to bully in the cooler months?do they just go off the bite or become slugish?move out to sea to breed?surly if there still in the river systems they would have to eat?also does or has anyone caught them in the day time?as i havnt yet, cheers felllas
I think they move out to see to spawn? Not quite sure though. Might have to ask an expert on that one.
As far as catching them during the day, I haven't, but a mate of mine hooked up to one at about 6 in the morning during Summer. About 4ft long, jumped clear out of the water before busting me off, from what we assume was due to it getting tail wrapped. Not during the middle of the day, but the sun was pretty well up and shining.

yeah thanks kaidon for the imput, i was under the impression they gave bearth from october through to march n thats y the mothers move up into the fresh away from preitors to give bearth?dunno can anyone else shed some light on this interesting convo? cheers.
Bull Sharks are viviparous, meaning they give birth to live young that are nourished inside the mother shark. Sexual maturity is reached between the ages of 8 - 10. Bull Sharks breed in the summer months and the young sharks are born approximately one year later. The pups are born in litters of up to 13 and are around 28 inches at birth. A common breeding place for the Bull Shark is the brackish water where freshwater rivers meet the saltwater oceans

i tired to catch bullys few weeks back not a hit in my ever trusty spot. was slaying them in summer at the same location in the middle of the day big live mullet bigger the better!
