    Thorsborne Trail

Just got back from hiking the Thorsborne Trail on Hinchinbrook Island. Anyone with a sense of adventure and a little bit of physical ability should have a crack at it. I did it with the Mrs and kids over 4 days. Bloody hard work but spectacular views and waterfalls.
Best place I have camped yet!!

Would love to do this some day. Probably should've done it before the kids came along but too late now! How old are your kids, lump?

My pair are girl 8 and boy 10. I think the young bloke carried about 6 kgs in his pack and the daughter had a small day pack with 2kg in it. They both coped better than me!

My Mrs is a mad photographer so these were just a few of the 600 odd we have. Hope they give you an idea of the beauty of the place and the fact that even fat bastards can do it!!!

Yeah mate quite a few. The biggest were at Mulligan Falls ranging from 7-10cm to the 15-20cm mark. I was down there in the morning filling up the water bottles and they were all gathered in front of me checking me out. Your not allowed to fish there so I guess they have nothing to fear. Gin clear water in all the bigger creeks which all seemed to have perch in them. Also watched quite a few freshwater yabbies in Diamantina Creek while having lunch there one day.
