    Any of the lures mentioned will catch fish Barra anywhere in Northern Australia but I would never head out for a day anywhere on the Cape without the following four lures

    1) Richo - Extracta 9 in Gold Mackerel colour
    2) 75 mm Squidgy Fish - in both Black & Gold / Red Rum
    3) Yo-Zuri - Crystal flash 100mm - in fluro yellow & crome
    4) Rapala Skitter Pop in any colour.

    I have caught countless Barras off the flats in Weipa on those lures. I reckon if you do not land a Barra within an hour on one of those lures, give it a miss as you have obviously missed the tide

    I hate to sound rude but why don't u wait till u go up there find a good local tackle shop and buy there. Spend the voucher on a few things b4 u go but get 99% of it up there.

    I like
    richos timber lures pink, yellow and gold
    Sammy 90
    Bommers gold and a few clear/ other colour combos
    The husky jerk rapala (looks like s bommer) in clear/glitty colour
    Sebile magic swimmer hard or that fat bellyied one
    Rob gardens classic lures grap a few mini's
    Squiggly soft plastics
    Zoom frogs
    Zman soft plastics
