    A few beach sessions

Headed up to Teewah for a couple of days, driving up and down fishing the nice looking gutters. Plenty of mullet schooled up right in close to the beach, the netters were easily seen driving everywhere but I didn't see them shooting any nets.
Schools of big Dart everywhere as well with some gutters holding hundreds of fish in the swell, these were good sized ones too and readily taking anything thrown at them, bait and lure, great fun on light gear and they go like the clappers. Caught dozens of them and actually they were proved to be quite a pest, having to move several times to try and get away from them. Bream and Tarwhine (to 35cm) mixed in with them but hard to let anything sit there long enough before a ravenous Dart nailed it.
Few flatties as well, most undersized, spoke to a few people that reckoned they were getting good sized ones up and down the beach. Tailor were scarce and mostly undersized but a few alright ones holding up with the mullet in places.
Really good time to be up there, weather was perfect and considering it was school holidays, wasn't really busy. Few pics from a few different sessions in various gutters, much more C&R, a cracker time.

Nice work. Good to see there are still fish available at Teewah. I don't mind a few dart.

    Goat boy,

You don't live that far from me. If you have spare seat, I'd like to go and try my luck with ya. I'll chip in towards fuel cost Never been to Teewah, no 4WD either so my options are very limited.

Very good to see the beach is doing well. Does it look like the beach permit has had an effect on the amount of clowns tearing up the place. Cant wait to get back there.

Good work goat boy, I was there last weekend! Good Dart, big tahwyne, 2 Taylor 45-50cm, under size Flathead, heaps of Mullet. We camped and fished the same gutter other than pippi searching and half a hour after my last fish before packing up camp the netters shot a net in the gutter, I would of been wild if it wasn't my last fish I was gonna take the tinny.. glad I didnt because the weather was shit 4 off shore until monday.

Nah I don't reckon the permits will have much of an effect, much like the camping permits, it's a pretty good bet you won't be checked, especially outside of major holiday times (ie people will just give getting a permit the arse). Been up there twice now in the last month and saw a Ranger once, just driving down the beach, no checks that I could see. In all the years I've been going there, only once have I ever had a Ranger ask me if I had a camping permit.
Yeh I dunno if they were shooting their nets or not, had one lot pull up behind me while I was fishing a gutter and they were checking out the mullet that were only 10m or so offshore, after awhile they took off, would of been p!ssed had they shot a net around me while I was fishing..
