awoonga upcoming summer.
Have just moved to rocky from sunny coast and have fished awwonga numerous times in the past but not for a while because of the distance but now i am in yeppoon and onlyan hour down the road is barra heaven so my question to the ausfish locals of awoonga is, when does the beasts start to move around again after the cooler weather, and do you think the large amount of water and fish over the wall will effect the amount of fish caught this upcoming summer.
and does anyone fish the rocky barra bounty, is it worth while fishing it after the big wet
sorry for all the questions but trying to get my feet up here and a few off the locals either telling stories or dont like sharing anything

looks like Awoonga is off the radar ...... everyone is too busy chasing escapees
Chris
Give a man a fish & he will eat for a day !
Teach him how to fish
& he will sit in a boat - & drink beer all day!

I am not to sure how many are left in the dam.September has been a good month in the past but only time will tell. Will be interesting how the ABT boys go this year. From all the reports i have herd there are very few fish even located on the sounder let alone caught. Will start to have a look in August and see what happens from there.

Hi All,
Does any one up North have any current updates on Awoonga as I live near Sydney and I am making the trek up there in October, so before I tow the boat 18 hours, has there been any Barra caught or would I be better fishing the Boyne.
