No interest in carpet anymore and been thinking about putting this stuff down. Seen Regupol flooring before and great stuff. Anyone already done it and can advise if happy with it or not ? The only slight concern for me is it'd be pretty permanent so hoping to hear if its worth it.
Re: Regupol and non slip recycled rubber on decks.
I bought three rolls (10m X 1.1m x 5mm thick) from Rubber flooring, as advertised on E-bay, to use in the garage but haven't put it down yet. Great deal from a helpful company. Looks very good on the roll and should be perfect on the concrete floor.
The thought crossed my mind that it might also be good for boat flooring but I haven't done enough research. I believe the product is made from recycled tyres but don't know how well the carbon black from tyres is sealed within the product. Carbon black and aluminium is a horrible mix and will cause corrosion very swiftly. At the same time as buying the product I also bought a sealer suitable for indoor areas. From what I learned, a more expensive sealer is needed if the flooring is laid in an area subject to sunlight.
I would be interested to hear if anyone has used this product for boat flooring because it looks very attractive on garage and other work floors.

tx for the feedback. Might fire off a cpl of messages. I kinda remembered a couple of the guys had installed it but heard nothing about whether they've been happy with it. Got a cpl of samples and its a bit on the heavy side at 3kg per sqm but its distributed weight so doesnt concern me at all. The 3mm stuff looks perfect for the job. Looks tough but a bit daunting using polyurethane glue onto a fresh flowcoat deck..if i dont like it there's a nightmare getting it off i reckon.
Might just do it anyway.
Re: Regupol and non slip recycled rubber on decks.
G'day,
I put regupol on the floor of my boat about 12 months ago.I did'nt glue it down, just used double sided tape, and i don't even think that i really needed that, the stuff is quite heavy and very non slip.Just cut it to size and lay it down as a mat,and if you ever need to remove it,piece of piss.
Re: Regupol and non slip recycled rubber on decks.
ahhh bananas. Now thats what i want to hear...no glue yeah ? The stuff looks perfect and the only thing holding me back is the thought of some fierce glueing. I think you;ve just made my mind up.
tx
Steve.
