    Time of Day vs Tide

    G'day fellas,

Just wondering what people consider more important... The time of day you fish, or trying to get the turn of the tide? I usually like to get out there a couple of hours before high tide. But I also love getting up at sparra fart. Unfortunately these two don't always go together.

Interested to know what you blokes think.

    Cheers,
    Worky.

Turn of the tide for me.

Even better if it is at daybreak or sunset.

+1 if the tide is just starting to run again at these times it is prime. More so inshore.

For the weather to be good on a day that Im not working. I cant really be too choosy about the tides on such days otherwise I would never get out fishing. I will always get up early to try and get as much fishing in as possible.

+ or - 1 hour of the tide for me, like to be able to at least see the moon somewhere in the sky.

But like a lot of others here, if we were to pick these times to go out we would be bang out of luck and would not end up going out at all.

Tides at night, but will also fish dawn within an hour or two of a turn.
Love the early seshs, always nice to see what I'm trying to do!
Strangely to my mind, my biggest tailor (10lb) was caught just after sunrise......

I think the dawn and dusk time frames are brilliant times, they seem to trigger fish activity independently of other factors like moon and tides.
However as others mention, if you can get a line up with all these factors then you are on the money!
But as most know thats just not possible for many of us in relation to when we get to go. So my call is I would rather go for these time frames, as against a tide turn during the day.
If you are serious fisho. you will consistently find yourself leaving when others are arriving, and arriving when others are leaving. Too many people want to head out after the best hours of the morning, and leave to go home in the comfort of sunshine, only to whinge in conversations at the ramp about the lack of fish! LOL
If you leave in the dark, or arrive home in the dark, your esky will have some nice fish in it!
    Cheers
