Great Start to 2011 Snapper Season

Had a fantastic day on the bay yesterday looking to kick our snapper season off with mate Phil - Not a bad way to open our account & christen my new Stella 4000FE


Phil was up next with another lovely fish - I also lost one after it changed hands half way in .........

The bite actually got better as the day went on towards the top of the tide at 10am

There where some EVIL fish out there as well - with too many wipe outs ! Spent over 40 minutes on this one before straightening out the jig head with what I suspect was a big cobe

Started the day at 4am & arrived back in the marina at 6.30 It was just a fantastic day with plenty of quality fish & good company - Thanks Phil

Good day there Phil (i can only see half the photos in width) but they look good and healthy (no river sludge in those gills) and smoked a few times to always make you come back. Cheers boyz DD.....

All caught in 60-100 ft of water using Squidgy Fish Heads in 2/0 9 gram & 110mm flick baits & 5" gulps

Placing more importance on my HDS8 now days as well - finally mastered capturing screen shots This is what we where looking for - bait balls & active snapper feeding around them ......
