    Endangered Species

I was planning an offshore trip but my deckie cancelled so I decided to take a run in the Bay and chase some of those rare and endangered Pagrus auratus that we more commonly know as Snapper.I had my bag of smallish fish (to 50cm) by 8.00am and spent the next couple of hours targeting other species but kept getting hit by Snapps and released another 6 legal fish (to 45cm) by the time I called it off.I seem to be having trouble posting a pic but I will add it later

Nice work Horse...what part of the bay were you in - north or south?

Did you use bait or plastics?

We might head into the bay tomorrow if the forecast holds...

    Cheers

    Pete

you would have to be an idiot to believe that the sham of a closed season would increase snapper catches, suggest you look at the life cycle (growth rates) of snapper and post again ,get a grip.
