With commitments booked today and tomorrow ( birthday party) I had an opening between morning till 2pm. Had a few things do to in the morning so it was a 9am start.
Headed to whyte island ramp and the carpark was full, even the grass parking was full. Anyway i found a place to park and headed towards the mouth of the river to chase some live bait, hmm no bait except 1 mullet.
Headed around the rock wall and there were boats everywhe.re. Caught a few diver whitting and headed back in the river. Boats were lined up like a carpark near boggy creek.
Anchored at my secret spot and deployed my only live bait and a few dead bait. 1/2 an hour pass and nothing, . Told my boy we gotta leave in 1/2 hr and 15 minutes later the rod buckles and lines start to peel and up comes a jewy at around 95cm. Headed home. Seems like jews are everywhere in the river
