smashed in saltwater creek today

ducked home for a quick bit of lunch today walked down to salt water creek, chucked a TT lures blade in a clear silver colour first cast and whack!!! line shes a strippin, full drag (7kg) on a daiwa zillion running 30lb braid and 40lb fc rock fluro leader. 20 - 90 meters pulled, not super fast just unstoppable, applied a bit of thumb pressure and ching! leader breaks at the midway point, I do have an old adversery who has done this before and Im thinkin its a decent fat mother of a cod, very snaggy this area and a lot of critters like to call it home...

bring on the heavy gear next time!!! payback is coming!!

bad luck mate. Thats what keeps us going back hey the one that got away. I got smoked tonight on a shallow reef by what i'd call a snaps. By saltwater creek do you mean hays inlet?

There is a salt water creek down the Gold Coast behind Hope Island. That is where La Vida hales from.

Yeah, I used to fish that creek, is it still as muddy as ever? Sounds to slow for a jack, but theres been some big trevs caught around the mouth in the past.
