Question Installing DIN mount stereo in GME AM/FM hole?

Hey guys, I've been looking at a problem I have and now my head hurts.

I have just bought a Fusion Marine CD/MP3 player that fits into a normal DIN size hole.

The spot on my Yalta's dash where i want to install it, was where a GME AM/FM radio sat and now I have a hole the is too big for the DIN mount, please help.

What can i do/buy in order to mount the DIN stereo?

"Ive tried nothing and I'm all outa ideas"

    Cheers guys

Without actually seeing the problem it's hard to say but you could try putting a nice varnished piece of timber or polished Stainless over the hole. Then mount the new one through that.
    Just an option

Go down to the local shop that sells car stereos and ask them about DIN fascia kits, take the measurements of the current hole with you. You should be able to get a fascia plate that will allow you to mount and cover the hole.

If the fascia kits thylacene mentions arnt available or they want to slug you for it...go to the local plastics guy and grab a small piece of opaque white (or whatever colour matches the gelcoat) acrylic about 5mm and cut it yourself. Spend a bit of time rounding the edges nicely and to match the new stereo face shape and maybe measure to leave about 5mm overlap all around for appearance. Drill/cut it to new size. As far as i know all acrylic/perspex is UV stable anyway and easy to work. If he's not too busy he could quickly do the edges for you for a small fee. Use a good sealant so water cant get behind.

Cheers guys got it sorted today, couldnt find the kit. Was thinking about the perspex, i ended up using a water proof cover as the main base, then to attach that on one edge i needed to use little metal tabs to attach the screws all good!!! Josh
