took the new boat for its 1st run offshore today.had a lazy start leaving manly at 7ish with the missus and youngfella onboard.got to the bar in no time and on approaching i noticed the bar was up and a few waves breaking .owell i thought good test for the kevlacat, got through with ease and must say i wish i had a kc years ago, headed up to the 29's on the 1st drop the youngfella got a nice little tuskie,i noticed in the distanced a rain cloud but wasn't bothered,on the next drift the missus got a cod going 57cm and she was wraped, had a few drifts for no ore keepers, the last drift i got a keeper squire and another tuskie.the heavens opened up and the wind picked up to 15-20knts then we got thunder and lightning bloody hell i thought so hightailed it north to try another mark but did 2 drops there for undersized sweet lip.was 3/4 the way to the cape and my youngfella had never seen it b4 so come home that way.took just under an hr to get home from there to manly.all and all was a good way to blood the kat offshore and had a bonus of a good feed
cheers rosco
