sommerset report please
Hi guys, could anyone tell me how sommerset is fishing at the moment, my old man is coming up from newcastle and wants to have a go at fresh water fishing for the first time in 12 years aswell as taste his first redclaw.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Fished an interclub comp against Kilcoy at their home ground last weekend.
Basically the locals were bagging out on everything, Bass, Yella's, Tilapia and tandanus. (You could have dropped a zero off the end of their total weigh in and they still would have beaten us).
Bass were not huge, biggest just under 2 kg but the tilapia (biggest 2.2kg) and yellas were (biggest 4.5kg)
Claw were quiet for me, but then again I'm used to north Pine

thanks feral, good to see there is plenty around. Do you know if they were getting them deep or around the dead wood

I wasn't there for that one Neil but at the base of the trees has always worked for me. Best with bait.
