Funny as richo1 as i did the same had the damb thing spooling me on bow mount on full and wrapped around the bow mount and hoped for a stonka snap and up comes a slimy catty all slime over the boat but had to get a photo of it for the ausfish boys for a laugh.
Matt i read your mud trip and i hope you get a good 1 there as i have had no luck on offshore knobbys there to date but i am more southern end anyway.
Matt my best so far is a 60cm on 1 pound fireline and 4 pound leader and that i thought was it but i am trying to beat that soon as my mates were talking up light gear with brim so i grabbed it and casted out to pike to try it and it hit me first cast and a 47 and a 43 and a 50 mowong in 20 minutes so thats why i use it more than i should as i landed all of them but now i use 2 pound on 4 pound leader to give me enough to see so i can tie the string lol.
