just a queston i have been reading bag limits for qld if i buy fish and have them in my frezzer is that counted as my bag limits as i have got 50 or so mullet in the frezzer for bait

the bag limit is per species, 7 trout 10 nannys and so on as long as you dont have over in each species your right.

I am lead to believe that the fish in your freezer do count towards bag limits however I've never heard of inspectors going to anyones house.

Very incorrect. You are only allowed a total of 20 coral reef fin fish in total regardless of species. Each species also has a maximum bag limit.

It is in posession, so this includes in your freezer, but as others have said unless you are doing the wrong thing then the authorities aren't going to check your freezer.

He's talking about buying them. No pos limits on bought fish if you have a receipt.
