    Noosa Sweetlip

Went out with a friend on his new boat yesterday. Left the Noosa bar at first light to be greeted by a magnificent morning. Flat sea and clear skies. Our plan was to chase snapper on SPs and light tackle. At our first spot we find a good showing on the sounder. My first drop with my new 10lb outfit produces a small but feisty sweetlip, well that was the trend for the morning, every drop produced a sweet lip. We landed out bag limit in the first hour with my PB of 3.5kg being the best fish for the day. We must have caught 20 between us and 90% were caught on SPs.
Man on the 10lb outfit they really go hard. We did find a few just legal snapper but 99% of the fish were sweet lip. Had a great morning back in at 10am and fish on the BBQ for lunch. They really good eating, as I discovered yesterday. Don’t generally like eating fish but they sure on my list now.
    Cheers
