    glow sinkers

I just came back from a charter trip where one guy had some large ball sinkers and some other shapes that had what appeared to be a plastic coating with a phosphorus look about it. He said they glowed in deep water and when we fished 100-140 mtrs. down they definitely produced the best catches. He said they're no longer available at local shops where he lives and I wondered if anyone knows much about them. Can't say I've noticed them for sale but I'll start to take a better look for them. He said he bought some on line (E***) that looked the same but they ended up being painted, not plastic coated so the glow didn't last long after banging on the bottom. Any info would be appreciated.

I have the super glow powder coat that is applied to jigheads and sinkers.

I supply Tackleworld, Sandgate with hot lips jigs with super glow white on the offshore ones (3/4oz and up). I can apply the super glow coating to sinkers as special orders upon request.

I cover the powder coat with rod binding two pack clear finish which helps to prevent chipping.

Due to the fact that lead is a soft metal there is no way to permanently stop chipping of the powder coat.

Tackleworld, Southport had a lot of glow sinkers last time I was there.

    Cheers
    Barry
