Dragged my girlfriend out of bed Sunday morning to go for a fish. Was a slow start as she had been sick with a head cold, but came anyway because she said she would.
Was a slow and bit bumpy trip out to the shipping channel but started to smooth out once we got there. Went to a bit of ground I found on our last trip. Nothing but bait stealers and a big greasy cod. (Which the girly caught)
Started to head north looking for more ground to fish and stumbled upon a bump on the bottom that was holding fish. First drift caught a 60cm nannygai and one lost.
Went for another drift and stumbled across some more bumps that were holding even more fish. Every drift was producing double hook ups instantly, all nannys.
They were everywhere, best shows I have ever seen on the sounder. The more I looked around this spot the more fish I could see on sounder and they were eating any bait dropped down. Put eight fish in the esky, best going 8kg but most around the 6kg mark.
We thought that would do us for the day so we left them chewing and headed for home. Good day and it started to glass out on the trip home just to top it off.
