yeah my first thought was a Diawa Sealine. They did make them about that long ago that looked like this.
Do a google search for "Daiwa Sealine" images.
Large star drag overhead game reel. Was bought on ebay and claimed to be Daiwa, but there is no brand or model visible. Looks to be 15-20 years old to me. Anyone able to ID?

Definitely a Daiwa sealine.....cant compare the size....but looks like my SL450H.
I can see the Daiwa thinking, but I seem to remember all those had the brand molded in the side plate, that one is smooth, but then again, I may be wrong.
On the left hand side there's that recess,sorta semi-circle/eliptic where the Daiwa logo was.Pic number 3.
