Spheros 8000 for jigging, line size?

Thinking of getting a Spheros 8000 for jigging in depths up to around 100m. Does 50lb braid sound OK? Should it handle it? Any recomendations on a suitable rod that's good value for money? Was thinking about a Diawa Monster Mesh Max

Am probably going to get another outfit at a later date with a Spheros 18000 for jigging with 80lb but want to try out a lighter outfit first.

i run 50lb power pro braid on my spheros 8000 and have never been let down. the reel has handled sambos to 15kgs and a few sizeable hammerheads easily with that line class and ive never had a problem. i run it on a shimano jigwrex and this has been an awesome rod over the brief time ive used it.
