    Help needed for Boyne-Tannum

Being a first timer to the area and the first time at doing a Tournament, I need heaps of help firstly with accomodation, parking and maybe even joining a team.

I have been to 1770 once and Stanage bay once just for fishing trips so understand the fishing style a bit.
Then some gps marks would also help

I am taking up my 575 outsider and will be joined by my brother from victoria who has a little deep sea experience.

    Cheers
    Chris

You might like to jump on to the Team CruiseCraft web site if you are not already a participant. Great contingent each year and plenty of info. Regards

    Hey Chris
Mate what type gps have you got i can send you all the entry and exits from Gladstone and Tannum and some spots there. We stayed at the Tannum Beach Caravan park mate where alot of the Cruise craft boats stay

Plenty room and you'll have to be quick for a cabin as they go pretty quick for the hook but plenty of powered sites .
Couple of vids in my you tube if you want to look at area

There is a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot

I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges

Up here we Use Hussar as baits for real RED FISHS (SHSIIFDER)

Thanks JT. I just booked a powered tent site from wed to sun inclusive.

I suppose I will have to register with the comp next

I have a Garmin gps plotter and a navman map gps with the area included.

    Cheers

Must away quickly now as I have to work to pay for this.

They have sent out the flyer and I replied with interest in going. What do they offer as far as support?

Leaving a little after midday Wednesday, that should allow a couple of pre-fishing days to scout around a get some nice baits for the comp.

Anyone else heading up at the same time?

    Cheers

Hey Chris, we're not heading up until Thursday night and are staying down at Turkey Beach. Don't like the look of the weather. Looking like 10-20 knots friday saturday sunday and a couple of inches of rain each day. We're only fishing the creeks as it were. If you're stuck with getting out off the coast I understand there are some little reef patches within Rodd's Bay, which is Turkey Beach. You may consider that too but if you can get onto the BruiseCraft people they will give you heaps of help and info.
    regards Jim

Thanks for that info Jim. Yeah I just looked at the weather and am still positive for a fishing experience to remember. I think I will hit the water running on Thursday morning for an early session. I will keep Turkey beach in mind as I've never been there. I have been 1770 and Stanage Bay and visually find the whole place just amazing.

Good luck to you as well. Catch a biggun.

    Cheers

Looking worse every day. Ah well, at least we'll have a crack at a jack or a thready. Good luck to you too. I agree also that Thursday looks like it'll be the best day
