Mine is 92cm @ 5.4kg

Caught down the Jumpinpin on:
Shimano Raider Finese Bream 1-4kg
Shimano CI4 Stradic 1000
Diawa Sensor 2kg braid
8lb fluorocarbon leader
1/4oz 3/0 jig head
Squidgy wriggler 160mm (I think that is the size)

Was the first fish for the day and was certainly my best ever.

Released to fight another day and hopefully give another angler the thrill that I had.

Nice flathead fishinwahbee. Have a look in the saltwater photos section. There are several threads in there on biggest flathead (mine is 88 cm!)

Mine was 105cm & 5.9kg caught on the middle wall at Yamba on a live Herring a few years ago...

must have been a skinny bugger barry. got one last week at 85 that weighed just under that. hopefully gettin one that long down there in a few weeks. Cheers. keith

Sorry Keith hit the wrong bloody button she was 6.9 kg or 15lb....weighed it in at the servo at the Blue Dolphin...Still very dissapointed in myself for keeping it. .& still got beaten in fish of the week by .01 of a kg

I was down there fishing the middle wall i think it was three years ago and saw someone claim a monster flathead two boats down from me. wonder if it was you? biggest flathead ive ever seen

83cm on 5" satay chicken about 3kg

91cm at woodgate land based (soft plastic), then got an 89cm landbased in the gold coast broadwater (on a gang of pillies meant for a tailor). Also had a mate catch a 107cm absolute monster off the kingfisher jetty on fraser island (on a live hardihead caught in the middle of a hot jewie bite). all released. They just seem to get bigger and wider with every few cms after 70cm. a 70cm lizard looks small compared to an 80 and an 80 looks small next to a 90 and so on. they just seem to stop getting as long and just get wider and thicker. Thats why the 107cm was an absolute honker. biggest i have ever seen.
