    Baffle Creek & Easter!

Just thought I would throw a report in for the Baffle after spending a couple of great days up there over easter camping and fishing with the family. There was plenty of fresh still coming in from up the top end so we headed for the mouth to set up camp for a few days, the weather was great the crabs were on the move and a couple of fish were landed! So if your heading up this way the lower section is definitely the best option until the fresh clears.

Nice pics there Scoota! Looks like you had a great time.

Wayno, there is a National Parks campsite at the mouth of Baffle Creek, access is from Rules Beach (4wd required access via beach).

There is also a camp area up the beach North of Rules at the mouth of Mitchels Creek/Broadwater Creek, 7km North. Boat launching off the sand, but not a lot of water around low tide.

Rules Beach is the only beach left on the Discovery Coast on which you can legally drive a 4wd. (No permit required!!)

    Cheers,

Hi Wayno, Yeah mate there is some great spots both north and south of the mouth. We prefer the southern bank but have to cart all the gear by boat from Winfield which only takes about ten minutes.
