I recently sent in a clip to funniest home videos but it's been rejected so now I can show it to everyone.
Personally I'm still laughing at poor Noel and you'll see what I mean when you watch this clip.
On a side note this clip is a good example of how using good tackle can catch great fish. The rod was a cheapy and I had to nurse it through but the little Daiwa seagate light 3500H was incredible. The fish went straight out after hook-up so I really put the hurt on it to stop it from spooling me on 30lb Fins braid. I still can't believe I stopped the big girl. A lesser reel would be in the bin right now.
I used a 40 lb Black magic supple trace leader and an 80 lb Black magic tough trace at the danger end. Braid double was a Bimini twist with a Yucatan knot to the leader. With some help with the old hand on the spool trick I reckon I put over 10 kilos of drag on the fish at some stages to stop her. Pretty awesome that everything held together and I can't speak highly enough of the Yucatan knot as a braid to leader connection.
Fight time was 45 minutes before I popped the line.
