Howdy,
I'm just starting out fly fishing and looking for a cheap WF6 floating line, what do you guys recommend? Saw some Scientific Anglers Air Cel for US$23 on eBay which seems good value, will this be ok? I should mention that I'll be targeting carp mostly.
Cheers Alex

i go though ##############.au for all my gear
You would find spending the money on better quality lines and rods will make the learning process much better and more enjoyable.
I'm with Slider on this. Flyline is not something to skimp on (same with rods). I use rio outbound on most of my rods.

Scientific Anglers make excellent fly lines. You will struggle to go wrong with one of their standard floaters. Make sure it is not a ‘specialist’ type line you are buying though (a link to the advert would be useful). Cortland Fairplay are also an excellent low cost lines, ideal for beginners. I personally would not spend too much on my first line (beginners tend to hang them around a lot of trees & fences, stand on them and twist the hell out of them with bad casting styles J). Once you have mastered casting you can move on to more advanced lines (such as the outbound).
I ended upgetting the Scientific Anglers as it seemed the best value fo $25 delivered. Will see how it goes when my reel arrives.
